Unbeatable Happy Hours
Darlo serves up some stellar food and bevy specials, from weekday Happy Hours after work to Sunday Roasts that will cure a hangover. Darbury (1/249 Darlinghurst Rd) can get you started with their Aperitivo Hour on Thursdays to Sundays 4-6pm: enjoy $12 spritz, $8 wines and beers in the sun. Down the road, Darlo Bar (306 Liverpool St) also does Happy Hour from 4-6pm on weekdays and offers up cheap beer and wine, they also do $12 cocktails on Sunday from 3pm - perfect to chase away those Sunday scaries. Gino’s Kitchen & Cocktails (235 Victoria St) has a Tuesday to Sunday Happy Hour from 4-6pm that includes $7.50 house wine and beers and $15 cocktails. Down the road you’ll find $10 wines, $8 beers and $5 snacks from 5-7pm on Fridays and Saturdays at Black Bottle (2/118-116 Darlinghurst Rd).
Feeling hungry? Fortuna (247 Victoria St) has all-you-can-eat specials with their Unlimited Pasta Night (Thursdays $40pp) and Unlimited Pizza Night (Fridays $50pp), you can also book in for a Bottomless Italian Festa from Wednesday to Sundays ($99pp). Fabbrica Pasta Bar (348 Victoria St) does an afternoon Apericena Menu of small plates (anchovy toast, mortadella etc) and $12 spritz, only on Fridays to Sundays from 3-5pm. Darlinghurst institution, Tropicana Caffe (227 Victoria St) has an all encompasing Happy Hour (4-6pm everyday) featuring $6 wines, $12 aperols and negronis, as well as cheap snacks like $4 aranchini and $15 pasta. For classic pub meals, The Waratah (308-310 Liverpool St) shines with its weekly specials: Wednesday $20 fish and chips, Thursday $25 steak and chips, Friday $25 burger and beer and Sunday $35 roast. The ‘Tah also have a weekend bottomless spritz special alongside their Australiana set menu for $99pp - a great way to try their signature cocktail and take on Aussie classic meals. Cheers!
